Renewals & Cancelled Shows

I do not see the forum favorite (timeless) on the fall schedule but I suppose it could have a limited run after Sunday Night Football ends

As of 1 AM central Monday, there is still no official word on Timeless potential renewal.

Hopefully we'll have some good news later on.

they did announce the fall schedule and it is not on it. Again, it may come in midseason---perhaps after football season

Some figures, showing what is happening to the networks, based on the 2 that have announced:

NBC, 22 total programmed hours:

Filmed Drams: 10
Filmed Comedies: 2
Commentary/news: 2
Faux reality/game shows: 5
Reruns: 3

Fox, 17 total programmed hours:

Cartoons: 1 1/2
Filmed dramas: 6
Filmed comedies: 1 1/2
Faux reality/game shows: 1
Sports 6 1/2
Reruns 1/2

Well I guess we can add Roseanne to the list of cancelled shows. Amazing.

All new TV shows are crapshoots. Replacing a lead or important player can kill a show but occasionally it succeeds. They managed to do the Andy Griffith Show without Andy. A few dramatic shows have survived lead changes. It might work here. I guess we will find out.

Timeless was not my cup of tea but I know many here enjoyed it. I feel bad for you. I understand SONY is looking fora new home and there isa possibility ofa (TV)movie to wrap up the loose plot lines.

There is speculation that Timeless could be picked up by USA network because it is owned by NBC Universal. It would be a simple switch from one part of the company to the other. I hope so because I loved Timeless.
