Apple Event - May 7, 2024 (New iPads!)

Anything to close any deficits with the competition would be a start. Claiming that they're making bold moves when this is the result is kinda hollow in my mind. Then again, I'm not sure what the attraction to doing computerly things on a phone or tablet is.

Gas Price Info With National Gas Temperature Map

Mine hasn't moved but the Redwood City Costco has gone down 6 cents to $4.839.

    Spring Cleaning?

I point out that YouTubers benefit mightily from discussion traffic within their respective channels. It is not in their best interest to spread themselves around discussing things in other forums (in addition to being an enormous time suck to follow multiple forums).

It never ceases to amaze me what passes for "innovation" these days.

    House of the Dragon

Adjusted for the current cost of living (versus what we are told), that seems like a pretty good deal given the surprising (to me anyway) ratings.

    Auto Racing 2024

Seems like Le Mans usually shows up on one of the broadcast network sports channels at some level. I usually end up tuning in when it is dark. The FiA in general does a pretty good job with in-car cams and telemetry on the coverage I've seen on traditional networks.

Does DIRECTV let you automatically skip commercials or skip the beginning of a show?

    Auto Racing 2024

It appears that coverage in the U.S. and Canada excludes the Lone Star Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Le Mans but other than that, there doesn't appear to be any prohibition on subscribing. A VPN connection may or may not be able to skirt the geo-location issues for those events. The price is 59...
