What size & kind of dish are you using?

Out of curiosity, I've asked if anybody in my area, Carrollton, MO & the surrounding area, had any dishes & I got one offer, however I will have to take down the dish. The dish is an older one & I don't know how to take one down. Are the dishes, like this one, assembled\dissassembled in sections?

Satellite dish antenna. I've seen it being referred to as a transmitter & a converter.

I called the store this morning & asked about the "8′ Foot 2.4 Meter Black Mesh Dish Antenna" that he has for sale & he said that he doesn't have any right now & won't get any in stock for a few weeks. He did say that he does have some solid dishes in stock though.

At my location, it says that the shipping is $41.05. Still there might be a problem with the listing.

I did find this polar mount satellite dish on eBay, however I am not sure what size it is & it seems kinda expensive for being an older dish. I've tried sending some messages & offers to the seller & they are not responding. They claim that they can ship it.

I don't have a polar mount right now.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I thought it would be as easy as sticking a polar mount on it that was, primarily, designed for a movable dish. I think I'll just stick with getting a movable dish.

I would like to know if a "Prime Focus" dish, like this one, could be converted to a movable dish?

The company is SatelliteDish.com. Their "About Us" page says that they have been around since 1989. I am wondering what your all's opinion about them is?

I am wondering which Android app is the best for helping to find & track satellites & align satellite dishes? I did find an app on Google Play called Satellite Pointer by Cappsule, that uses a phones GPS to show where the satellites are in the sky. What are some other apps that I could try out?

I've also got some old metal fenceposts, as well.

Is it also possible to use a roof mount, on the ground that's weighed down, with sandbags, or something else that's heavy? Sent from my SM-S102DL using Tapatalk

I would like to know how wide should the hole, that I will have to dig, have to be for the mounting pole & should I use Quikrete, or just any other kind of concrete mix?

Some more questions, would I have to call "Dig Rite" before I go digging? If I don't feel like digging, could I build a stand like this? Also, would I have to measure the focal point on the C Band dish.

Would really thick PVC pipe, reinforced with concrete with rods through the bottom of the pipe to keep it level, also work.

After doing some searching, I also found this satellite dish. Is there other place that I could get this kind of dish. Do these kind of dishes come with poles to mount them to, or do I have to buy, or find, a pole to mount it on separately.

Thank you all for your suggestions. But due to the pandemic & also because I can't drive. I think I will stick with getting a satellite dish off the internet. I do have some more money now & can better afford the shipping.
