If I'm not mistaken, the 612 has been "coming soon" for over a year now. It's a single TV, multi-tuner receiver, right?

But if they enable the receivers to share the recorded content over ethernet... that would be just awesome. It *MIGHT* even coerce me into upgrading the 508 in the bedroom.

Dumbass dish forgot to add Pittsburgh to their green dot map with HD locals.

This company is getting to be a joke.

On the other hand, it looks like they do have a dot on Scranton, which they didn't on the Charlie Chat. Hopefully they'll handle it better than D* did -- they only announced 3 channels out of 6 on the air and then only launched 2!

Boy, they sure dropped the 622 fast, considering that you could hardly even get one for months after it was announced and then half of them were DOA! If it's such a piece of junk, how about a free upgrade to the 722 for us suckers? I have no desire for HD-VOD, but the bigger hard drive would be nice.

The 622 is the same as a 722.....

Just a newer chip set and larger HD.

I agree 100%!! If I could share content via ethernet between my 622 and a 612, I would replace my old 508 as soon as that 612 became available.
Even if a second device was needed, like the DNLA announcement suggests. I could handle that!

As for fees, how could there be any ? This will be for non-satellite customers (primarily). Of course, Dish (or Direct or cable) customers can buy and use these but I think the focus is consumers who are currently analog OTA-only today. That said, I don't think this level of consumer will be interested in DVR'ing....
    Joking here of course...

C'mon Hall... you can't see it now? 119 dish for EPG requirement and you have to pay your DVR fee.

Any pics of the TR-40? That one's included in the voucher program. The TR-50 is ineligible.

Don't let Dish off the Hook until they provide details on the TR-50 and analog-to-digital converter boxes: availability, price, fees, will the converter box support TVGOS, etc.
