The Coolest, Biggest, Fastest & Most Unexpected things I saw at CES

    ADVERTS 1
OK, to finish off my pictures / coverage from CES, I thought this would be neat:

The Coolest, Biggest, Fastest, & Most Unexpected things I saw at CES:

Coolest: Intel WiMax (WiFi that ran solid at around 1/2 mile)
They ran two race cars using web cams over wifi from about a half mile away.
The track (pictured) was outside, and the drives were at the Intel booth inside about 1/2 mile away.
The cars weren't fast, but they ran solid with no drops (stopping) in coverage!

Biggest: 20' Tall Transformer in the Dolby booth

Fastest: Jay Leno's Jet Car (what could be faster than a Jet engine in a car) [2 pics]

Most Unexpected: Atari 2600 (displayed with an xbox 360 in the Digital Home exhibit heavily featured by Microsoft - one of the most popular exhibits outside front + center)

Honorable Mention: DirecTV's walkthrough of 100 HD.

Lastly, I just want to take a second and tell eveyone how much fun I had attending CES, meeting fellow Satelliteguys that went, and being so welcomed. I'm not sure if I'll make it again anytime soon, but it's something I'll remember for the rest of my life

Now it's time to start laying the foundation for my wife to let me go next year!

Yeah, the 20' tall Bumblee transformer was cool.

Speaking of gimmicks, the pirate ship at Blue-ray was pretty impressive too; and LG's wall of tv displays was neat.
