Scott's CES Brain Dump
ADVERTS
Ahh there is one thing I hate about taking time away from my real job, and that is when I get back I have all kinds of work to do. Today and I got back to my office and I am swamped with work.
I have lots of videos to finish editing from CES and had lots of photos... so instead of keeping everyone waiting for the photos... HERE THEY ARE.
Sorry for not explaining them all, but if you got questions about any of them then ask away and I will do my best as I have time to answer them.
I haven't had anytime to edit or watermark any of these (sorry about that)
Its kind of funny, most people think that SatelliteGuys is my full time job... it's not... its my hobby. I was talking with Charlie Ergen the other day and even he thought that SatelliteGuys was my only job. Anyways enjoy the pics.. now its time for me to get back to work.

Tell me more about that sling 300... I put that next to my second HDTV and I can access my DVR content?

So what is the difference between the Sling 300 and the HDTV media extender? From DCS_0068 picture above.

Proud Staff MemberThe Sling 700u is a 1 wire slingbox that hooks to any HD DVR from Dish. It turns your HD DVR into a slingbox with only 1 wire.
The HD Media Extender (which from memory is the 300 model) is a Sling receiver that displays Slingbox content on your TV. You will be able to use it to watch TV2 output from a 922 in full HD on a second television.Scott

Nice hobby. I really enjoy this site. I wish I was friends with and got to talk to Charlie Ergen. I once got a personal reply to a letter a wrote to him about my customer experience. I don't know, but I think Mr. Ergen and the others are responsible for making Dish such a great service. To Scott, thank you for this site. It is great. Okay I got a question. I saw a MacBook Pro just like I got. Mine has a 2.66GHz dual core processor with NVIDIA Geforce 9600M GT video card. The specs for HD streaming on the Sling Media website state that it going to take at least a 2.8GHz processor in my Mac to stream HD. Am I going to be able to stream the HD on my Mac? If not I am really going to disappointed.

Thanks Scott for the pictures. The questions I'm sure everyone is wondering is did you talk to Charlie about the rumored price increase. I hope that it will at least be part of a later brain dump.

Scott,
Thanks for sharing with us the pictures above.
Any idea when they said these new products will be available from Dish?
