Yeap I just cant see myself doing the dish without it these days. When I repositioned my DTV dish (after having my roof redone) I put the DTV Dish myself on the side of the house on the trim side and got it mounted, and aligned in a matter of 1hr. If I didnt have those fine adjustments, I would be there for hours.

I just recently aligned a 118.7 on the 1000+ dish and its such a pain, the littlest move causes the signal meter to move from like 50 to 25. I just barely touched it. Its so hard to fine tune that especially since the 118.7 is an FSS base and low powered Satellite.

As far as focal length, I was thinking of using the actual bar that the 500+/1000+ comes with and just mount that on the AU9/AT9 dish. Mainly because the AU9/AT9 bar for the LNB wont work since the end where the LNB mounts is actually formed larger opening for the 5LNB mount to attach to. I know these AU9/AT9 dishes can be bought new on solidsignal for like $65 new without the LNB.

My last question though would be is that do I need to bother with this just to move from 61.5 to 118.7. I havent seen any hard set word on when the Indian (Hindi Mega pack that is) will be finally removed from the 61.5.
