View Full Version : The value of home slapped-together foods

I've always wondered what the value of foods you slap together would be compared to the typical fast food junk. Like how the "burrito" I just slapped together with a tortilla round, some leftover ham and some cheese would compare to those 99c tacos at Taco Bell and such.

The good of it is you're cleaning out the fridge of leftovers. The bad is if you buy the stuff you need to make them, you end up with way more than you need. The stuff you make tastes so much better than the fast food joint you overeat, because it's there. The only place I think cooks better than me or the Mrs. is our local steak joint. mmm...ribeye...

I always end up with more than I need on purpose, wrap it up for work and throw in the freezer. :)
