It seems Time Warner Cable is exploring the possibility of getting the internet usage meter back out again.

Very interesting, since during the last 12 months the have slowly raised their stand alone roadrunner monthly fees, so you are almost forced to bundle.

This is one of many reasons everyone so sure internet based TV and movies will replace satellite or cable or Blu-rays needs to think more about that.

Well like I said it is a double edged sword. If you sub to satellite service and pickup standalone internet they are gonna charge you the max even if you aren't going over the metered amount of bandwidth. If you are a big timer for netflix etc, they are gonna soak you more. Basically cable companies have a big advantage (at least where I live with no internet competition), because if you bundle your gonna get much better rates than just stand alone internet and a stand alone satellite service.

If it is at or close to Comcast's 250 GB cap you should be fine. In the article it says that they are not sure if they will implement it or not. So hopefully they won't.

No. At least not in my area. I do not think they ever will in my area since competition is way too strong.
