I have three for sale. Becket, Lawrence of Arabia, and Terminator 2 in widescreen. Make me an offer I can't refuse!

I still have 600 of the beasts, although I have now replaced about 150 of them with DVD or BluRay. I generally will skip a generation of technology on a title.

I have about 150 of them. Included are seasons 1 and 2 of The Next Generation along with a couple of Season 3

I have a bunch as well..... The Definitive Collection for the Original Star Wars Trilogy (Pre Special Edition! Han Shoots First! Dolby Matrix Surround, not digital though), T2 (with the entire script, the music video from Guns and Roses, and a bunch of extras), plus The Abyss with the extra 30 minutes that dramatically improves the plot of the story. Aliens, plus a bunch of others... I remember paying $50-100 for these back in the day when the market was primarily VHS rentals, and they left these discs for the enthusiasts only. Of course, that was back before kids and the Great Recession destroyed my discretionary spending ......

Imagine a Blu-Ray laserdisc. Anyone want to do the math and see how much a double layer Blu laser disc would hold? I think it would be interesting to know myself.

It wouldn't be a laserdisc. The format of those was analog and they were hard pressed to get an hour per side. I think if you went with a digital format you would still need wider track spacing due to the larger eccentricity of the big disc. Sorry, I am getting all geeky, so I'll stop now.

I think he just meant a bluray the size of a laserdisc. ;)

Yeah, but, but......
Oh, nevermind. Can't really explain it.

He knew that and that is what he responded to in the third sentence of his previous post. :)

oh my... It was just a hypothetical question. If you would take the size and spacing of a blu-ray "line" and continue it over the circumference of an old laser disc how much longer would it be... that's all, not a discussion on why you wouldn't or couldn't do it.. geez... :facepalm
