Just done a side by side comparison test with the new 0.3dB Xtreme LNBF and my Invacom QPH-031

VERY IMPRESSED! :shocked

Checked the below satellites and transponders and there was little or no difference between the two LNBF on EVERY satellite and TP. I tried!

The Bottom line this is a fantastic LNBF for the price and performed EXACTLY the same as the much more costly Invacom.

Point for point on signal quality!

IA-6

News 1 Live Signal Quality 75%

University Network 82%
.........................................

G10R

The Tube 60%

11800 TP. 85%

..........................................

SBS6

ONN 74%

............................................

Pas 9

Cubavision 82%

(A Universal LNBF was used to find/store this channel will then work with standard LNBF)

..........................................

Pas 3R

11960 90%

Unlike the regular Xtreme LNBF this model is all steel and has to be off set from the usual LNBF scew position. (see below)

Installing the Xtreme II LNBF (http://www.dmsiusa.com/install.htm)

Its a Standard US Ku (10750 L.O.) Light weight compared to the QPH-031
40mm throat mount.
With the all metal housing it should have better shielding, better performance and less interference.

Nice little unit!

This side by side test was performed on a 36" offset dish!

I just bought 2 of these from Pete. I am very happy with my lnbf's. One is for SBS 6 and the other for AMC 9.

On AMC 9, Primestar dish reading with Primestar lnb was in the low 70's on the NBC transponders. 82 on DirecWay signal 12160H/SR 30000 at night

Fortec 100 cm dish
with Primestar lnb = 89 on DirecWay signal at night
.4 universal lnbf from Sadoun = 91 on DirecWay signal at night,
.3 Extreme lnbf from Pete = 95 on DirecWay signal at night and 90's on most of the NBC transponders.

On SBS 6 dish, with Primestar dish and lnb - ONN in the 70's, ABC New Orleans channel at 82, other New Orleans channel at 78 (nead 80 to get steady signal).

SBS 6 100 cm dish with .3 lnbf, all signals in the 90's for horizontal and vertical.

I just purchased this as it was the same price as the ASC-321 I was going to buy. On a scale of 1-10, how difficult would you estimate the mounting to be for a beginner?

Should be just as easy as ANY LNBF, just make sure you click above where it says "Installing Extreme II" As there is a small mark on the LNBF that has to be at the top.

9 out of 10.....
