Continuing to roll out FiOS TV, Verizon announced today that its fiber-optic TV service is now available in 34,000 households in Pasco County, FL.
The latest expansion brings the company’s video franchise coverage to 3 million households in nine states. In Pasco County, orders may now be placed for 10,000 households in Land o Lakes, almost 3,000 in Lutz, and more than 2,400 in Keystone. That’s in addition to 19,000 households in the Wesley Chapel area earlier this year.
Despite second-quarter earnings dropping 24% to 1.61 billion, the company noted that in markets where it has been selling FiOS TV for at least six months, its penetration levels have averaged 10%.
FiOS TV is also available in parts of California, Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, Texas and Virginia.
