Should those entities not match DirecTV's commitment, "MLB Extra Innings" would become exclusive to DirecTV. On Wednesday, iN Demand Networks, the provider of many video-on-demand and pay-per-view programs to cable, said it has offered to carry "MLB Extra Innings" and the MLB channel under the same terms agreed to by DirecTV. "This offer meets all the conditions set forth by MLB last week," commented Robert Jacobson, president and chief executive of iN Demand, in a statement. He added that cable companies "stand ready to execute an agreement before the beginning of the baseball season."

I am curious to see if this proposed deal was really accepted by InDemand. InDemand is saying they will offer the MLB Channel to as many subs as D*, but the deal is the channel gets put on analog for all or no deal. So I look forward to seeing the response from MLB on this one.
