I thought last summer the FCC allows us to now own our own dvr box?

SO I have a chance to get one at a great deal and I called Insight to see about it.

Get this I was told yes I may own my own DVR box HOWEVER I still will be charged the same monthly fee even though I own the box.

WOW that sure doesnt sound right what good did the FCC ruling do consumers NONE it appears.

$6.50 each for HD & Digital Service for each cable card
$13.00
$ 1.50 rental for second card
$14.50 Total to use a tivo on comcast not including the cost of the TIVO service.

Until last month a charge of $6.50 was charged for an additonal outlet to use the second card. total $21.00
