I just bought a Samsung LN46A550 and I'm trying to use it with my Motorola DCH3416 DVR. I have the HDMI cable hooked up, but the signal won't work. It keeps saying "This channel should be available shortly." I also tried the box with component instead of HDMI, but that didn't do the trick either. My recordings work, but live TV doesn't. Comcast tech support was nice, but a joke. I'm trying to have it set up for my mother for mother's day tomorrow and I'm out of options. Help!!!

Definately a signal or box authorization problem. Perhaps the signal is weak, sounds like you need them to roll a truck to test. How many splitters do you have upstream from the box?

I had this happen in March when we first hooked up the HD box at our place in Tn. It ended up being a bad splitter in the line. They charged me the service call price to come out.
