Yep, other than I agree with Dish and Direct doing this...why should they be the cash cows for the LIL stations?!?

Yea well sooner or Later D* can't just keep paying all the networks what they ask for all the time. Looks like that time is nearing. I don't think this matters anyhow ,Most times the dispute is settled before the channel is dropped,or even a few day later at the longest. Its a process.

I'm glad to see that Directv is doing what it takes to continue keeping our monthly charges below what Dish Network charges ;)

what is interesting is KXJB is owned (through a local marketing agreement) by the NBC in the market (Hoak Corporation)....why would they pull just one and not both?

I don't know, and of course it has no effect on me but.....I'm glad something came up in the weeks news to make Juan's pathetic life a bit more fun.

Could be that each station has a different end of contract date with Directv...

You are an E* who posted this and the one guy that has responded on this thread more than anyone else is also an E* sub. So, does that mean that E subs care more about the D* disputes than E* disputes?
Well thats a givin.:p
Yep... Especially since it took 3 days for the first response to this thread and most of the post are by those whom are not D* subs

I would actually care if it was a national channel. if D* had a dispute with lets say viacom. Then there is reason to make a big deal about.
But some pissant local that probably only affects 1% or less of the D* subscriber base..

This would be my guess as well. Anyway, as long as they arent doing nationals I cant see many people caring about this (as long as it doesnt become the norm of course)
