I'm trying so display JPG images on a CD using the Phillips 5990 DVD player. I have resized the images to be 1920x1080 to match the TV resolution. I'm outputing via HDMI at 1080 (set to 1080p but TV shows 1080i for image viewing).

The images don't fill the screen. I end up with black bars on all sides. I've set the HD JPG setting to ON.

Anyone have any experience with this?
