My family and I are going to Memphis for Easter break. I have been there before and have eaten at the Blues City Diner and BB Kings. If anyone has a suggestion for anywhere else, I am willing to try.

This should be a fun debate among the locals.

Personally, I've never had the pleasure to eat ribs from a true Memphis joint, but a few places that were recently featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives "Memphis BBQ Tour" episode were.....

Tom's BBQ (http://www.tomsbarbq.com/)

Marlow's Ribs (http://www.marlowesmemphis.com/)

Leonard's Pit BBQ (http://www.leonardsbarbecue.com/)

Cozy Corner BBQ (http://www.cozycornerbbq.com/)

All of them look absolutely amazing. You probably can't go wrong with any of them.

We are there for a week. My son and I will try to go to as many as possible. We really like ribs. Thanks for the timely replies.

Without a doubt, Rendezvous!

Charles Vergos' Rendezvous is one of the more "famous" places, but don't discount the little guy smoke shacks either.

Here's a similar discussion on Foodhound.....

Rendezvous was the best ribs of the bunch. I had ribs at four different places. The next best were at a place called Pig on Beale. They were smoked rather than charcoal grilled like Rendezvous.
