Anywho, I also prefer D*'s upcoming MRV solution to E*'s. E*'s way of doing it one reason why I won't switch to E*. I don't like how two rooms have to share the 2 tuners and single hard drive. That limits the recording flexibility.

Amoung my 5 DVRs I have a DVR in my living room and one in my den. The one in my living room is primarily used by my wife and I. The one in my den is used by my 2 daughters. Their's is almost always nearly full of the teen and preteen type stuff. A lot of stuff from Nick, Disney Channel, etc. If my living room TV had to share a hard drive and tuners with the one in the den, there would be no room for my stuff and lots of recording conflicts.

The title is wrong because counting RSN HDs channels DirecTV still has more HD channels than dish.

How many do each of you have under Direct and how many under Dish? Good Question? Not sure! When I joined Satellite Guys I had only D*. But this place made me look into E* within a few months. But I had Both HD services up untill last Fall ,so I'm not really sure on the post counts.

The part time or full time status of a channel isn't based on content, but availability. If it was based on content, many of the regular hd channels wouldn't be considered full time. Directv rsn's are available nationally for those willing to pay for them, regardless of the content, therefore they are full time channels.
