Seriously, do you think the patent infringment made the E* DVRs what they are today? Is that why they are so good.

Also, IF your DVR gets shut off, what will you do? Stay with E* and hope they get something else for you to use? Change to D*? Change to cable?

Edit: yes I know that all of the DVRs are not in danger....yet:)

Don't you sub to Direct as well as Dish?

I only have two because my job supplies me with one of them. I would not pay for both that is for sure. No reason, for me anyway.

At one time there was reason to subscribe to both, But now its really about the same, Unless you like movies,or Sports. Then you still need both.

That is true. They are more alike than different now. The only thing that really separates the two for most subs are movies and sports.

Or if you are a Yankees fan. Dish loses a lot of subscribers in the greater NYC area because they don't carry the YES network like Directv does. I would consider getting Dish if they carried YES.

yeah i was about to ask the same thing. if you have and HD set why would you be ok with that channel being in sd only? that has nothing to do with being a true yankees fan or not.you bought an HD set to watch what you like in HD no? :)
