I recently started listening to the show, first time since 1999. I have to say, I can't get enough of it. But then again, I pretty much have the exact same world view as him.

I was nevor able to here his show befor sirius. He wasn't ever syndicated In my area. I was able to catch the e! Show sometimes. Being able to here classics on stern show shuffle is grate as is stuff on sirius.

The "Miss Howard" dating contest was hilarious, the part where they put up the phony "Gary" bit and she went off on him like to have made me run off the road... :D

Lady Gaga was excellent last week, was funny listening to Howard today talking about the recap show that day when they were busting on Scott the engineer :D

Big demands from the little one today... :D

So we had about 8 or so people talking about Stern and the Super 8 thing because many of us liked the Movie. I don't listen to him anymore but someone made a comment about how much they liked Stern. It got a little ugly after that. I guess Stern made a comment about the singer Selena after she died that my coworker said was racist about her music and the Hispanic community. He ripped into Stern and showed us what he said . It's on the internet. That being said , Stern can be funny . But when he's wrong or ignorant about in issue he's really wrong. I don't know if it was his upbringing or what but sometimes he gets away with things that nobody else would get away with.

I have a SIRIUS Lifetime sub that I got when Howard started. I used an S50, dragging it between the home and the car. However, when I traded in the car, the new car came with XM, so I got another sub and left the S50 planted in the executive dock in the bedroom.

However, now I just got the "renewal" letter for my XM + SIRIUS subscription, it's $200 a year!! Since I rarerly listen to anything on XM/SIRIUS except 100 and 101, it comes down to 9 to 12 shows a month - for $200 a year!

That might work for "plain old XM", but to get Stern in my Acura, I need XM plus "The Best of Sirius". I don't think they wheel and deal with the add ons.

Howard said on the air this morning that he wished Mutt would close the place because of all of the hate, and I guess he did!

I'm sure new hate places will show up all over the place. I would hope if you do one Scott that it would be fair and not a place for unbridaled bedlam. (Of course, with your reputation, I'm sure it would be fine.)

Howard wants him to keep it dead. Mutt can't give up his forum. Comon, that's a very hard pill to swallow, and I don't think he should.

Still, it's a moderation nightmare if he decides to go all in and moderate with a heavy hand. THAT is a full time job, and you can't keep banning people over and over as they change usernames and IP addresses. If someone wants to be a jerk, there's little you can do but ban their IP and hope they don't use a redirector.

Howard has earned a lot of the discontent, with the promises he's made and the eventual 9 to 12 shows a month, down an hour each day from last contract. It's a lot to get a subscription for 140 shows a year (or whatever), however, there are ways to show displeasure and ways to show distain. Attacking members and show people has got to stop, but it won't be easy.

I feel bad for Mutt. He has a lot of careful steps to make to keep at least most of the members and Howard happy.
