They never promised anything. We are just upset because we hear rumors or see HD uplinked. They never said any National HD channels were coming this week.

Wish the Cleveland CW would come. I'm having trouble with OTA of late on the CW.

wasnt aware that any were supposed to go live today...sure some are uplinked but they can take a while to go live plus Dish never announced any new HD

Exactly. I'm new to Dish, having endured Charter Cable for far longer than I should have. I'm now paying less than I did before and enjoying 70+ HD channels with Dish instead of 25 or so with Charter. I'm actually amazed at the number of HD channels I get and I'm grateful for those I do have at the price I pay.

Guess its time to order another dish for 77w for my locals. Now I have to decide if I want to take everything down and Install a 1000.4. Will the 1000.4 fit on the SuperDish mount?

I have been working with Dish all day on the 922 and when the uplink happened I was accessing the 922 via its sling, I didn't even think when I took the screen shots.

I get a lock using QPSK Turbo and FEC 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4. I even get a lock using 16 QAM and FEC 3/4. Unfortunately the DVB Tech doesn't have a 5/6 FEC option.

From what it looks like its is an Spanish infomercial channel.

Sometimes I think DISH likes to inflate their channel count with duplicating channels across their guide. 274 is already at 220 (or so) and is higher up in the 800s. That's 3 instances of the same channel. Yeesh!

The fact that they inflate their HD numbers with part time channels is really the only thing they shouldn't do.

Genpix doesn't either but has about 5 or 6 options that are hex codes. I'll probably have some time this weekend to swing the 300 over there.

They are using a higher bandwidth modulation scheme in order for that market to fit on one transponder.

hmmm.. Not sure if I should get a wing dish or move to St. Louis. If I go with a wing dish, will they have to run a new line to the receiver or will they combine it with the other line going inside the house?

Perfect. I may look at getting a wing dish first and if there is not line of sight (very possible) then I may have to pack up that u-haul.

Guess that means I may have to rewire the outside because I completely changed it since they have been there and is a bit confusing.

Kinda sucks PBS isn't in HD though. The local CW doesn't offer HD at all..
