Dish Remote Access
The OFFICIAL DISH Remote Access program for the iPhone is now available for free from the Apple iTunes store. The program allows you to easily set timers on your ViP series DVR's using your iPhone.

I hate to rain on this parade, but I haven't EVER been able to get Remote access to work! Every time I try on one of 5 different computers and three different platforms, all I ever get is "Due to technical difficulties, we are unable to process your request at this time. We are actively working to resolve the issue and appreciate your patience. You may attempt to connect again in a few moments."

I noticed when the "Now" tab is selected, it shows your recorded content first, then the programs currently playing. Is this normal?

You can do this on your Droid thru the Browser. Works great, but of course a dedicated app would be better. Hopefully DN will do an Android version soon.

Works great... was screwing with my daughter by changing the channel after she "hid" the remote from me... just wish you could view DVR programs on the iphone from the app.

I like the app, it is much easier than navigating to the website via my PC. However, I can not find my local channels in the guide. Any help?

I am hoping for the release of a Blackberry app that will have remote access. The native BB browser sucks and doesn't work with the site.

The only thing I am finding annoying is that the iphone app uses a different account/password then the dish.sling.com site. It wants your dishnetwork account and password which I have forgotten.
