I don't think this was scheduled at all! Anyone have a dish pointed at 61.5? TP18 is in the transponder tables still due to the UP channel holder. It might not lock if they switched it to 8PSK though since it is listed as QPSK. I'm not going to swing over my 91 to 61.5...too damn cold outside...almost freezing with high winds and humidity..I'll pass with the temp, humidity, and wind combination.

I get DisneyHD off of 61.5 and its not coming in. That's my wing dish so hopefully overnight tonight it'll pick it up off of the Western Arc. Not gonna do a reset with the game on!

I subscribe to channel 596 - and definitively there was smthing going on, as the channel was down for about 1:30hrs until around 8:45pm ET - +- the time digiblur auto-job posted the channel moves - and, until around that time, I was getting a msg indicating couldn't lock the 61.5 tp 18.

Disney HD is working for me, it's on transponder 25.

Just ran through those transponders on the Point Dish page. 17 and 18 show nothing. The adjacent transponders appear normal so far as I remember.

I'm thinking we will see a new game plan of Echostar6 ;)

Thanks for the update... with what you said I'd say something happened to transponder 18.

I mounted my 1000.4 last year in -10F temps using slingplayer on my Windows Mobile phone to point it via the Point Dish screen.

I'm also seeing 0 signal on 18.

I've tried the mounting of the dish via slingplayer....now that's a pain. I'll take the temps in north over this junk anyday. People thought I was nuts walking around in the 20's with a light jacket when I was up north last year. They kept telling me "the southerner is going to freeze" when they were outside wearing huge coats. But I do admin I'd rather this weather than 100 degrees and 98% humidity with zero wind. You sweat just looking out the window from the couch.

No signal showing on Transponder 18 on the Broadlogic Spectrum Analyzer. They turned it off.

Now the question is... is it dead? ;) Time will tell.

I'll bet that UP2 channel is uplinked just so they can detect if it ever returns...

Can't win. Still happy to be living in a time when we've mastered HVAC.

Hang in there E*3, the cavalry is going to take some time getting there to relieve you of your post.:no

Interesting that shortly before this uplink was posted, I lost signal on ESPN2 HD from EA for about a minute or two. Thought it was something on my end, but maybe something related to this change?

I have always said, move E6 to 77 and then move E8 over to 61.5 until E15 gets up there.

Why not just move E6 to 61.5 and save the gas on E8? E15 is probably only a year away or so.

What's keeping the FCC from making a decision on 148 so that Dish can do something with E6?

That's the multi-million dollar question....literally.

As I recall, E6 has some problems (built on the same platform as the Famous E5) and E8 is a more powerful & newer sat. and has more spotbeam/conus capabilities.

I know, but E6 can do the job, and it makes less sense to blow extra gas on E8 when it can just stay where it is.
