Damn Sirius wont give up getting me back as a customer.
Cancelled a week before christmas due to a few reasons
-the extra fee
-I dont drive as much
-money
This week alone I have received 7 phone calls (2 each day and one today) from them (I wont answer but one time I called back and it said Sirius), 3 e-mails including a "welcome back" one which offered me like 2 months free with 6 months and now today I got this "urgent" open now priority mail blah blah blah thing. Open it and its for 5 months for 20 bucks or a year for 6.50 a month if I reactivate
Damn dont they give up? The radio broke so it doesnt matter anyways :)

I cancelled sirius about 3 months ago. After having service at least 5 or 6 years. I think it's funny, they will offer you the world after you have cancel. But, no rebate or free months when you are paying for 6 years. I might would stuck it out longer if they did.

If I don't get back to work soon. Dish will be next to be cut. I wonder what rebates they will offer.

I was a customer for 4 years and paid for a year at a time. Other than the "1 month free" thing they do with a yearly sub they didnt offer me anything else. Now they offering me the world

They'll probably offer to send you a new radio too. I know someone that was calling to cancel and said the radio broke. They sent him a new radio and the boom box that would fit it, since his old boom box would not fit the new unit.

the radio broke after I canceled ;)
Funny part is my old radio that I swapped out 2 1/2 years ago for the one that I had until I canceled (the old box type unit) still works just fine. I don't get all the channels...I know Hardcore sports is one of them (98)

I get tons of mail from them since I canceled over a year ago.. good thing that they had a landline # I also canceled a while back, so no calls at all.
All their mail gets shredded as soon as it arrives.. Satellite radio for me? No thanks, I enjoy the free Internet radio and HD radio.

Same here in the North Bay. San Francisco has quite a few good HDRadio stations but most of them don't reach the 50 miles to my area.

I called and canceled also after being a loyal customer for three+ years with two radios. I drive a lot and really enjoy the internet radio while at work, I work in a steel building, not close to a window so have no signal for my boombox. After I received my renewal billing on Dec. 25th, get to work, turn on the internet radio, and oh by the way, we need another $3 a month to listen. Just hit me wrong when I saw the renewal amount on my cc, for 2 radios for 2 full years. I cracked, called and cancelled. I hated doing it, but yes they offered me all kinds of options to keep me too. The little fees that everybody seems to keep coming up with just kill the deal. Give me the internet radio and I will consider, but not until then. So we'll see if the find a good offer for me to renew with.
I still get emails begging me to comeback despite canceling two years ago (three?) Luckily they don't have my phone number or I'd have to buy a boat horn for when they call.

They email me once a week to come back.. now offering me full service for $4 a month.
Only reason I canceled Sirius was because I have XM built into my Truck and my wifes car. With the Best of Sirius package I get everything I was listening to on Sirius... without sirius...
I threw all my sirius radios away.

I swapped my radio from the Sportster to a Mirge & they send me about 1 email a week asking me to come back to them.
Geesh, I still have them. I just have a better radio. Yikes.

If you no longer have a business relationship with them tell them that the number they called is registered on the federal Do Not Call Registry as well as your state registry and that you will file a complaint if the calls continue.
I am not sure that this even applies to firms that you did have a relationship with but it stopped 3 banks from calling me. Of course if the calls are recordings it might not get you too far.

Probably so. But like I said the threat was effective in other cases. not sure it would be to Sirius but it might be worth a try. your call. No pun intended.

I dropped my JVC unit on the garage floor and it wouldn't pick up the signal. When I called to cancel they offered me a free radio not to quit. I said fine, but on one condition, does this free radio have a home docking station, they said yes, but they were out of them and call back in a few days and they would have them. A few days later I got my freebie so I called to turn on and get a docking station. They stuck me $15 to switch radios then told me that the free modle they sent me was a vechile only modle. I was pi**ed. I do most of my listening in the house. So I canceled. After about a week I went to the Shack and bought a $69 unit for $49, coughed up the $15 and was quite happy. About a week later the unit kept going off and on so I took it back to the Shack and they replaced it with no problem. When I called to activate the "new" one, boom $15 again. I told them that I shouldn't have to and wasn't paying the fee because the unit was defective. The woman gave me some lip then said she had to talk to a supervisor. The fee was waved. About 3 weeks later I tuned on the unit and it popped. The display was discolored like a broken plasma TV screen. Off to the Shack I went, they took care of me, I then called to activate the new "new" one. I told the gentleman right off the bat what had happened and that I was not paying another fee, he said no problem and 5 minutes later I was listening Jimi Hendrix and all has been fine. I am waiting for baseball season to see how their broadcast are. That will factor in my decision to renew or not. I have to admit that I did miss my classical music at night and that's the main reason I went back. That is my experience with Sirius/XM.

I just dropped them now, they offered two months free, what would two months free do to make me change my mind. I wish they would just say OK your account is canceled.

I have a new jeep so I dont have anything installed ot use it. I have a built in sirius tuner I will probably jsut turn on instead.
What I got was
Free radio ( the pretty color screen Xpress )
5 months for 20
120 dollar premium install card
Autokit and new home kit ( did not ask for the home kit )
What they asked of me 5 dollars in change for shipping and 1 year commitment.

I tried to cancel over a year ago but ever time I call they give me credits. I had 2 radios for about half this time and I will have paid about $48 over this time which will take to about the middle of april. I'll call again in april and get the 5 months for $20 again. they still call and send me emails to reactivate my 2nd radio and I keep telling them I sold it on ebay , they just don't give up. But the good news is if you want to keep the service just call and cancel and you get some credits.
