You pay for MLBEI, is that a difficult concept?

Oh, but the poster did not mention that I had to PAY for them.

I took a look at D*'s prices this morning. -- :eek: For some reason the $30 package becomes much more expensive once you put it in your basket, with no -$2x.99 back for the first 6/12 mos.
The RSN package is quite expensive, what at $11.99, much more than E*'s..

I think that ALL D* users have to pay for those expensive sports packages as well as much more for the RSN's etc. That is the marketing part that I do not like.
Plus no free HD DVR lease either. The DVR's are quite slow from what I've heard and seen as well at my brothers.

I choose not to pay for Premium Movie Channels, but the option is there, and no, I do not see the advantage to 6 channels showing the same movies.While this is an oft-repeated lament in DIRECTV circles, if you have real Premium plex coverage that goes beyond the East and West versions, you find that there are a lot of different movies playing all the time.

Certainly movies show up on more than one channel once in a while, but it isn't like the PPV channels that play the same movie all day and chew up valuable spectrum. Three to five channels playing the same movie does not a variety make.

While this is an oft-repeated lament in DIRECTV circles, if you have real Premium plex coverage that goes beyond the East and West versions, you find that there are a lot of different movies playing all the time.

Or it could be the fact that we just don't care to sub to movie packages. When ever they do free previews it only confirms why I will never sign up for one, even if it was only a penny.

Looking at your list, the repeated East and West channels are the only ones worth viewing anyway. I don't speak Spanish, I don't have kids, I don't like Horror or Romance films, and I don't really care to pay even one penny for a movie package that shows movies I have already seen (are the few I like anyway) or don't care to see (90% of what is on those channels).

Going to Curtis's point. I too see the sports packages as more of a premium package (similar to that of the movie channels) than PPV. Pay a monthly fee(s) and it unlocks the channels for viewing 24/7, just as with HBO, ex.
