Hi Folks,
I hear that it's OK to paint an antenna as long as it is a metal free paint (like polyurethane). When I looked up some Krylon paints, they had zinc in them. I'm not sure if this is OK or not. Can anybody recommend an off the shelf paint that would be OK for a VHF antenna?
Thanks,
Bobby

I believe you are talking TV antenna and he is hearing satellite antenna.
For a TV antenna I see no reason to use flat paint since there is no fear of solar outages twice a year as there is with satellite antennas.
If the little woman objects to you big gold antenna, paint it sky blue and it will almost disappear - the only reason I can think of to paint an antenna.

BobbyDing, what type of antenna.? what would also be important is the paint ultraviolet light resistant if your trying to get it to blend in.
