There is a freeware program that begins with a "B" that you run and it examines everything on your PC and prints out a LOT of data, including the s/w serial #s & product keys.
I am running the W7 RC and am about to install the W7 Ultimate, since the RC expires in 4 days. I haven't got much installed, and have the original discs and packages with the #s, but I'd rather run that program in case I have overlooked something.
Googling like crazy as I post this - can't find the program.

No, but I'll look that one over - might be just what I need.
And thanks for the quick reply.

THANK YOU!
That's the one. Running now. Then I'll install W7 over the RC.

No problem!!! Glad that was it. Our IT folks used to have it on all our machines a few years ago. We don't have it any more and and couldn't remember the name, but like you, I knew it started with a B. It was driving me nuts until I found it.:p Hope it goes ok for you. Good luck.

It did not pick up the Norton 360 key, but I have them all anyway. Just double covering. And 360 will be replaced by our corporate Trend Micro when they come out with the W7 network version.
Thanks again. I have it bookmarked at home- oddly, not here at work. Anyway, more folks came in with "I need it nows" and I'll be here over the weekend, alone, to get my own work done - like reloading the OS.

Norton puts your key in a document file in the Norton folder under the users documents, FYI.

Thanks. If it's so simple, I wonder why Belarc doesn't provide it?

Be nice if they programmed it to look in a few more places, to cover as many popular programs as possible. However, this round it's just a "belt & suspenders" kind of thing anyway.
Well, wish me luck. At work now, about to load the OS. 32 bit version, sadly.
