I dished it up, I think more than I year ago and got a 722. Today I'm getting error 024 when I try to access the DVR and it won't pause. After pulling the plug and waiting for awhile I get a 311 message with a 501 reference code saying there is an issue that might effect my recording. I've tried many times to unplug the reciever still nothing. Looks like it is the HD. Just wondering if they will replace it for me, I am leasing it, I didn't purchase it. BTW..boy do I miss the DVR and being able to pause shows

I think that's what the DHPP (now service plan or some such) covers. Dish might try to charge you if you don't have the plan.

Dish will replace defective leased receivers. period. All the service plan dose is determines weather or not you pay for shipping.

Sometimes, if you are really nice to them, they will waive shipping.

Or, I got lucky. I'd like to think it was being nice.

DHPP also cuts a truck roll from $99 to $30 (recent prices, may have changed). I've also had a couple of remotes replaced gratis...one that (admittedly to the tech) my dog mistook for something edible. (Actually, in that specific case it was...at least in part. I never did recover the whole thing...!)

The truck roll charges are now $15 with service plan, $95 without
