How come the HD hasnt moved to 72.7 yet? ;0 Why are they uplinking HD to 77 still or is this now going to hold all the HD for EA ?!?! Should we expect in the 3rd move to see all the HD move/mirrored?

That isn't going to happen until July.

well its good to see these channels on 72, as up here in VT they were very unreliable on 77. Not that i ever watched them, with the exception of the wifes love for c-span. Now What?

July... no good... I was looking forward to seeing them soon. Oh well, guess I can wait. Out of interest, why July? Are they waiting on E7 to free up from 119 or something? Seems an odd date after they announced it. Or is it a licensing issue for the other TP's ?

Probably waiting to get E14 out of the way and done, probably a lot do with the DirecTV vacating more transponders at 72.7. Dish is only has about 20 TP's on 72.7 of the 32 they are supposed to get so far. 12 8PSK TP's is quite a bit of real estate.

I don't like the fact that they are moving everything over to 72.7. Can the bird handle all that load? Most of the SD channels and soon most of the HD channels. Also can it handle a bunch of new HD channels? I hope this does not mean more compression.

Why are they uplinking HD to 77 still or is this now going to hold all the HD for EA ?!?!

6000 channel numbers are LOCAL HD.

The UP channels are local HD channels, which is the avowed purpose of 77.

UP channels are virtual placeholders.

And yes...this bird can handle this and much more. They only have use of 20 or so transponders now..12 to go.

All 8psk and mpeg4...pure bandwidth bliss. You do the math... 32 X 41 megabits.

72.7 will have 32 CONUS TPs once Dish gets them all. 129 has 16 CONUS, so there is some HD on 110.

no good to me in miami on my eastern dish setup i still need a 2nd dish to get my locals hd off 110 and sd 119 this sucks as a one dish solution
