Is it possible to get dishnet in BC? We have an American mail box, we travel to the US all the time with our travel trailer and drag our Bell Express VU. Is it possible to activate a Dishnet account, and continue to use it when back in BC?

Yes, why not. Just sign up for dish with FlexTV and with your US address and that's it.

It's possible, it's not legal.

IF you can get signal you might could. The spotbeams/transponders for the sats you would need are only aiming at the U.S. I would probably agree with garys though, it could be illegal, and messing with stuff like this is usually a felony here in the states. just because you could doesn't mean you should. Contact local law enforcement to see if it's illegal before you tried it.

It is not legal in Canada to buy or use a Dish network or Direct TV system in Canada. You might be able to use it while in the US, but to use it or bring it into Canada I believe is not legal. It is legal in the US to buy Bell or Shaw units, although neither company will knowingly sell to the US population. Check with the CRTC for more information.
