FInally got Voom installed and am very happy thus far.

One odd thing I noticed is on the one set that I have whcih is still a 4:3 aspect screen. Even though this is already a 4:3 set, the picture on many channels is cropped on the sides with black or grey bars as if I were watching 4:3 programs on a 16:9 set. It seems to be mostly with OTA.

I do not see any settings on the STB to indicate if picture is being sent to a 16:9 set or a 4:3 set.

That's how OTA channels send their signals for 4x3 material.

You can change the way 4:3 and 16:9 is output on a box-by-box basis. Go to System Settings (hit Voom, then the green button twice) and then Picture Format. You can change the picture settings there. HTH
