Hi,
I am a sat hobbyist and newbie in installing dishes. So I am thinking about buying this device but I am not sure if this will be of help
To me as I don't see many reviews about this item. What do you think guys?
Also if somebody has a used device and willing to part with it let me know please.

Welcome to the forum. Most of us guys don't use meters. Use receivers and little TVs. But we discussed some of the ins and outs of meters in this thread....http://www.satelliteguys.us/free-air-fta-discussion/249800-3-5-lcd-signal-meter.html?daysprune=365
I have one and use it all the time. I have no regrets buying one and can repoint a dish with no effort and no guessing.

Thanks guys for sharing your experience. I found this meter on ebay and it looks interesting as it has the satellite identification feature. Not sure if it is present in the trimax sm-2500. It is called sathero satellite meter(could not insert a link, sorry :( )
If anybody tried it, share your experience please.

Sami

This one? Sathero SH-200 (http://www.satpro.tv/satherosh-200dvb-s2.aspx)
That looks a lot different than what I was expecting but interestingly enough, this one finds S2 and 8PSK. Just what the doctor ordered! :)
I think one of these along with my trimax knock off would cover all my satellite finding woes... :)
THANKS FOR VISITING!
