I know some people who subscribe to cable just for their locals. Its around $20.00 a month and I was curious if they could get a Voom receiver and use an antenna to get all their locals through the receiver's rf output in high quality sd. and also get an epg.

would a new or used system work? does it need to have the card?

what size antenna would be needed? could they use an indoor one?
