Mine is quick, scrolling thru the guide it used to hang up all the time, now it flys through.

On my HR24-500 I can hold the down arrow and it does a continuous smooth down scroll. That's progress!

yeah my R22 just flies through the guide...very nice

Don, at first when I saw this post, I thought this may have been your first time getting the new gui on the machine, but now mine is taking additional software as well and I've had the new gui, wonder what thats all about and what new stuff we got ? :)

I got a note on the HR20-700 about a new HD gui and faster speed, did it go NR ?

It took awhile on both receivers... no telling.

Had the same on my 24...

My H21 downloaded quick. I'll do the HR20 tomorrow as I am recording shows on it tonight

Well, like you mentioned before, your HR20-700 is snappy, well, mine is to now :)

Two things on my H24/700...

First, 0561 seems to have broken MRV for me (DECA). It is not seeing either HR24 (one has 0561, the other still has 0559) even though the HR24's can see each other and my H21 (national) can see both). Repeated network setup (even though they retained their static IPs), rebooted, test runs OK, still nothing. Whole Home shows as authorized, but no networked DVRs found.

Second, (probably related to the first) the List button now brings up the "To Do" menu instead of the list. To see the (empty) list, I have to go Menu > Recordings > Playlist, and that's really annoying. The List button on the HR24 still works normally. I hope it's just due to the fact that it doesn't see the DVRs. They still haven't fixed the booboo they created where the Yellow button no longer brings you right to the Subtitle/Closed Caption menu. This annoyance made it into the latest National release and it stinks.

Well, spoke too soon. A second reboot seems to have fixed both issues. Odd.

Still having the trick play issues on MRV (aspect flicking/changing during skip/rew/ff) on the H24, but on both HR24s they have been resolved on Live TV and recordings.

this looks like the last beta for the hd gui bc it listed a part to their website but it cant be found

Not to mention all the extra graphics that need to load each scroll .. which might slow down the responsiveness.

After a week of no aspect ratio changing on my HR24-500, it's returned with this update. Reset the receiver initially this morning after seeing it happen but it still remains. When rewinding in live tv/doing any time shifting in a dvr recording, the screen becomes 4X3. When returning to live tv, it goes back to widescreen.

I loaded it on both my HR20 and HR21, both are noticeably faster. Very happy.

The last CE has been so nice and so fast and looks so good I am skipping this week to see what all shakes out.

I feel the same way. I've just been keeping an eye on this thread and will make a decision tonight, but I can't see it getting any faster - so I'll probably hold out until a promising release comes down the pike.

Both tuners on the HR24 - 500 were on Odd net this morning... one was on WNBC & the other on HBO E when I went to bed ...

both of my R22's were on today too...same channel as it was on last night but no software was downloaded

I set 2 timers for my HR20 - 700 early this morning, it was giving the no guide info in over 10 hours, tuner 1 was on a channel I do not get but before I could change it rebooted ... (tuner 1 is very flakey)

digging the New colors....D* did someting right for a change

HR22 and HR24 done. Love the new graphics and speed. Noticed some irregularity when changing picture format but corrects itself when turned off the on. Checking it out further.

this release fixed the hdcp issue i was getting on my h25

My HR20-700 is fine, but I'm having the same issue on my HR24-500 that I had on the first hd ce. On sd channels, whether recorded or buffered, if I skip ahead, the video goes to wide screen. When I go to menu and back to the program it goes back to normal. Weird!

Did you try resetting the receiver? That works for my hr24 and h24 receivers.

HR20/700 0x561

I currently have 10 items on the playlist. List button pressed, first 6 list items displayed with first item highlighted, details for 1st item displayed on banner, everything OK so far. Page down, list scrolls, 5th item is now the first one displayed and 6th entry is highlighted, details for 6th item is displayed on banner, 10th item is last one displayed, still OK. Page down again, 5th item is the first one displayed, ITEMS 6 to 10 DISAPPEAR, no line is highlighted, details for 6th item still displayed on banner. ^ pressed, items 6 to 10 reappear, 9th item is highlighted, situation back to normal.

Should I file a report?
