According to Zap2It, the RAVE-HD schedule from Saturday July 2 to Friday July 8 will have 12 hours of LAB-HD programming per day! I hope this stays a regular thing until Dish picks up the rest of the voOm channels. And I'm glad to see it starts at 4am -- I can wake up with Moov every day! :D :D
The schedule:
12am - 1am: Groov
4am - 6am: Moov
6am - 9am: Groov
9am - 10am: Tank
10am - 11am: Moov
11am - 12pm: Window
12pm - 1pm: Groov
1pm - 2pm: Space
2pm - 3pm: Moov

I liked the Space and Window... I recorded it both and was able to watch the martian video... Great stuff.

Yeah, Window might be my favorite. Moovin' right now -- sounds and looks as good as I remember. :D

I see moov has ended up where I thought it should have been all along. Dead o filler material for some other channel. But from what I see they have far too much time allotted to it. People are just not going to want to see more than 30 minutes of that at one time. 3 straight hours of it is way too much IMO.

I noticed that Lab HD was back on Rave -- very logical and good move until Jabuary 2006 rolls around.
Now if we can just squeeze Worldsport into Guy TV and Rage -- I kind of got attached to Japanese baseball.

I'd rather watch my personal confuser screen saver than waste HD time on that stuff. I can find something better.

To each his own, but I like the LAB content.

Anybody know if they'll be showing the fireworks clip (1812 Overkill) on Lab today? Seems to me it would be kinda appropritate.... but I suppose if I don't know if/when it'll be on it'll be like that tree falling in the woods with no one around. I like me some Moov, but can't watch all day!
I finally saw some of the LAB HD content last night, a Groov segment (Berlin, with a bunch of cars moving around) It was pretty neat but deffinetly could only focus about 5 minutes. It deffinetly would make some great background video for a club and stuff

Could this be a Voom strategy to combine channels for more variety ?
Rave + Lab
Guy TV + Kung Fu
Rush + Sports
Majestic + ?

I thing the blocks of Lab on Rave are too long.
I would like to see them mix in LAB stuff between regular Rave Shows
I would also like to see them offer Lunchtime and Dinner relaxation by showing the fishtanks for a longer time at these times. It would be cool to eat dinner with the sights and sounds of the Fishtanks in the backround. :D
Dish shows the fishtank at night on 9443, but it has ads in the low corner

I Have no use for the Lab-Moov stuff. Maybe 25 years ago when LSD was still popular
Give me Soundstage and more Live concerts... I like having it for background music while I am working around the house.

I'm all for Soundstage and more live concerts, but for the love of Elvis how 'bout some new ones?

LOL Hey the John Mayall and the BluesBreakers w/Eric Clapton was pretty good. Forutnatly for me It is all abckground music with pictures or something to show off HD Music videos....
On another note Sunrise Earth is the best for pretty pictures

I think that is the time blocks they are using to show the HD Music Videos.

Brilliant Idea: Why not show new concerts, new music videos, and new music related content instead of dumping countless hours of LSD flashbacks that have already been broadcast a thousand times? Oh, never mind...just realized Jimmy is at the helm and in the process of sinking VOOM.

Hey, better late than never! :D Just caught the 1812 Overkill clip -- they showed it immediately following the end of the 9am-10am Tank episode (I think it actually started around 9:58). Every bit as cool as I remember it. :D

So how long before VOOM goes busts again. I really thought they would do it right just concentrating on being a provider. However, look who is at the helm....They made a press announcent that they would spend $100M up to $500M per year on new content. I think James would rather see the money in his pocket. He is short-sided and instead of invensting now an getting into a the cable companies he can and reap greater rewards later, I figure he is giving VOOM the same time fram as before and will suck it dry.
I never thought I would say this, but now that I have HDnet and HDmovies, my wife and I are pretty happy campers. I think HDfu, HDvice, HDfamily etc... would do better with a basketball team owner running them.
Initially after beging with V* since Oct '03 and then getting a DVR from E* there was some stuff I had never seen before. But now I think I saw EVERYTHING except for a trickle of new stuff on Voom10.
You think they could at least drop $100M in Voom10. MonstersHD has become very dismall. Right now there are movies on GuyTV that I didn't catch. But now with a 942 it's just a matter of a month or so.

My wife bought a cheap pair of sunglasses in which the lens keeps popping out. To quote the missus, "You don't get much for $5 these days." IMO, Rainbow should include the entire VOOM21 lineup along with their WE/AMC/IFC programming contracts at a very low cost per sub. It is much better to get $1 a months from 75 millions subs than it is to get $5 a month from 50k subs.
Rainbow has an opportunity to penetrate new markets and establish their VOOM21 lineup ahead of the pack. They have been extremely successful marketing their other channels so I why shouldn't we expect the same? Hell, they should make VOOM10 available for free over the next 12 months for any MSO that subscibes to Rainbow programming. If VOOM21 fails then Dolan Jr. is certainly the Anti-Midas.
