Comcast Interactive Capital and Turner Broadcasting System put their money into online-video content, taking part in the latest investment round for online-video-distribution-technology supplier Revver.

The two companies recently took part in Revver’s series-B funding round, which now stands at $10.2 million.

Based in Los Angeles, Revver’s technology focuses on viral-video distribution, providing tools to link content owners with advertisers and track videos when they are shared between users.

Revver plans to use the funding to expand into the online-video market, build its team and further refine its technology.

"The market for online user-generated-video content is growing exponentially," CIC principal David Horowitz said. "We are excited by Revver's unique approach in helping content creators to create value from their work. Revver's seasoned management team and its initial success in monetizing online video position the company for future growth."

Other investors participating in the round include Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Bessemer Venture Partners, Draper Richards and William Randolph Hearst III.
