I bought my wife the DVDs for Joan of Arcadia for Christmas, which we watched on HdNet throughout most of 2006. After watching the first episode, this morning, it made me think about how GOOD HdNet is.

While the DVDs are nice, they do not come close to the PQ on HdNet. Now, it could be that this just is not a good DVD transfer, but the upconverted DVD does not come close to the vibrant colors and DD5.1 sound (only DD2.0 on the DVD) from HdNet.

While not as good as it was before the free previews began on E*, it is still a pretty good channel...I watch it from both D* and E*...
