I just received my HD DVR, and checking the schedule on HBO, I see that all the reruns of Rome are on the non-HD channels.
Does HBO ever show older episodes of their series on the HD channel ?
They do. But not too often. In December-January they showed all episodes of Rome from the first season. I wish I had more space on my DVR! :up

And remember, HBO has just one HD channel, but what six or more SD channels. Much easier to show reruns on the SD channels.

If I were to choose two episodes of Rome to have in HD, it would be Episode One and Gaius Julius Caesar's Triumph.
I'd also like to have the Season One ender and Season Two ender (including the wedding reception) of Deadwood in HD.
In fact I'm hoping that the occasion of Milch's new show will prompt HBO to rerun Deadwood in HD.
