Just bought used TIVO 3- Password protected???

I just bought a used TIVO 652160 w/ lifetime & 1TB. I'm trying to reset the system or even watch his stuff, but all I can watch is his kids stuff because everything I try to do asks for a password or turn off parental control.
Is there a way around the password or to crack it? I tried e-mailing him yesterday and no response.

The only way to reset it is to contact TiVo support.

and don't pop the battery out whatever you do.
the password they give you is based on the current time and date.
