Bright House Outage hits Tampa and Orlando markets.

    ADVERTS 1
Bright House has been having a major services outage, from as early as 10:40am this morning according to what they're admitting to so far. All three services (cable, phone, internet) seem to be down in both markets, and telephone lines for tollfree / customer service / billpay seem to be down in both divisions. (Fast busies, or busy signals.)

I know here in Tampa in our office, our TV set has about 10 channels (all OTA and none of them HD) channels viewable, and everything else is dark. Some areas are reporting the signals are coming back on some services.

Twitter is really showing the complaints if you search up hash tag #brighthouse ... People are complaining about lack of status updates from BHN via either BN9, CFN13 or via some form of online notice.

    Twitter

Local news outlets are reporting this as a "Tampa" outage, but Twitter posts and other social media remarks by customers seem to claim it's "statewide", but they don't cover the entire area.

EDIT: Sure enough, reports of BHN Alabama (Birmingham) area are now showing on Twitter.

This will be a field day for PR and marketing.

This event was limited to the Tampa market only. Reports otherwise would have been individual issues not related to this event.
