8300HD Firewire

I noticed the most recent 8300HD I received has firewire connections. Are these enabled? Yes, I do have a D-VHS.

i am not positve, but i think it does work with a dvhs. when i had the 8300 i did a bunch of research on the firewire port. search for firewire 8300 over at avsforum.com. they have a good thread on it.
just don't tell them your a satellite guy or they will ban you. if you have a question to ask them, make sure it has not already been asked or the will jump all over you.
