    here or
Datastorm Users - The Premier Site For Mobile Satellite Internet and TV

    or the yahoo group rv2waysat.

ya got 3 basic flavors of consumer class 2 way satellite INTERNET

Hughes net, Wild Blue and Starband

if you are going to be moving your system around then skip looking at WB.

I am not sure but I believe HN new Ka service will not be a transportable option. like WB it will be usable only in it's assigned beam.

    That is correct.

And to answer the above question, Hughes was first talking about using KA for business only but has since thought otherwise. The service will available to the general public this includes Home and Business plans, then we should see some enterprise work come.

The speeds are capable of something like 30Mps down but thats what they are capable of not what they will be. Look for something alittle better than what is now available.

With the higher speed, will we get less of a FAP limit? If not then wouldnt that defeat part of the reason to get higher download rates?

It is a service coming off of Spaceway 3. I should be doing some beta installs within the next week and will post pics and speed test.

It is not available yet, but is a service that may get released in the future.
