Any difference between Internet sat dish and TV sat dish?

    ADVERTS 1
    Hi,

Any difference between an Internet satellite dish and a TV satelllite dish besides the fact that the internet sat dish can send?

    Thanks,

    Richard

    short answer.. yes and no
normally they are bigger dishes, and use different style feedhorn assemblys.

tv satellites are normally smaller, and just reflect the signal into an lnb

they are essentially the same as they both are metal reflectors that bounce a signal to or from satellites

what dishes are you asking about specifically?

    Thanks Jared.

I just got hooked up to satellite internet (yesterday) through Anik F3 and was wondering if there was any way to get the tv signal also.

The installation was done while I wasn't here and haven't had the time to really check the dish or lnb, so I can't really say what type of dish or lnb or if I can put a second lnb or not.

    Thanks,
