    Split Cable internet and TV

    ADVERTS 1
Hi I'm wanting to split my internet and tv signal on one coax. I have basic cable and don't have a box or anything. I want to do this because I have a TV tuner in my computer and my modem is right next to my computer as well. How would I go about doing this? Thanks

Just take the coax that goes to your modem and put a good quality 2 way splitter in there. Now send one output to the modem and the other to the tuner card.

Use good F connectors and stay away from hex crimp or screw on. invest in a compression tool and click lock compression type F connectors.

You can get everything at Lowes for under $50 or close.

No need to buy a compression tool unless you're going to use it again. You can just get two prefab cables (3 ft or 6 ft) and a two way splitter. All for about $10.
