Help!!! I signed up for skywayusa it is S*** ADVERTS 1
Anyone with any information on how to get out of this skyway deal please contact me. I have been on the phone with Tech support many times they are no help. I have also got a professional installer that usually installs Direct tv andwildblue out to the house, and he was unable to get anything better than a 5.7. Skyway support keeps telling me I need over and 8. Someone please help. I have allready contacted the Better Business Bureau. We need to get a class action suit agaginst this company. I know if soemthing doesn't happen my husband and I will be calling our local news station..... I wish I had seen this foram before I went with skyway.

They just started advertising in my area so they are spreading their fraudulent practices here. This will give all of satellite broadband a bad name.

i won't sell the systems, but if a customer calls me and wants one installed i will normally do it, but mainly just cause i know they are pretty much stuck with it... from what i've heard it is really hard to return and cancel.
That said, your installer must have not aligned it very well, I have installed a few and they are simple. Every one i've installed I have always gotten at least 8.5 on their meter. Either that or the reflector is bent and the installer failed to check that.

you don't need 8db for it to work. if it has a locked signal it will work. Just use it.

I agree they have something wrong, (not aimed properly, lnb skew off, obstruction, ect)but telling them they "have to have" over 8db is not entirely true.

Looks like another advertisement in today's paper. I feel sorry for all those folks that order a system. If they end up calling a satellite retailer to have this installed for them they will try to switch them to WildBlue.

OP did not say it was dropping in & out. He stated that 5.7db was the best he could adjust it to. If it is a stable 5.7db it "will" work.
