Hi all I am new to the forum and feel like an idiot because I have internet that is useless. Everyone tells me that satellite providers like Hughes Net will not allow port forwarding or uploading through port 113 please tell me there is a way for this to work I have lots of money tied up in this ISP.

    Thanks

    crimson,

If you're wondering about VPN, I use two different VPNs with my HughesNet. One is hardware and the other is software-based. So, if that's what you're trying to set up, it should, in general, work. I had to buy a static IP address (see link below).

As far as port 113 specifically, I don't know. HughesNet could probably tell you.

Here's a link to a post that I made some months ago, regarding how HughesNet works, in the context of port forwarding and NAT. http://www.satelliteguys.us/broadban...ml#post1565550
