Finally Hughesnet free!
ADVERTS
After many years with Hugherset (started with Direcway) we finally got DSL in the area and I finally had the pleasure of calling to cancel.
While it was my only option (other than dial up) at the time, I certainly won't miss the uneven speeds and the constant watch of usage to avoid FAP.
It really wasn't bad and the service only went out on me once due to a bad connector - but I'm sure not going to miss it!

I hope to join you later this year. I am suffering with these restrictions in place and sucky service right now.

Congratulations, I know the feeling. About two years ago CenturyTel finally got DSL out to the "sticks" where I live, I certainly do not miss Hughesnet. Good luck with your DSL adventure. How fast of a speed can you get?

Hows the speed of SatelliteGuys since getting off? I notice that most of the speed complaints that we have are from Satellite Internet users.
