VPN router recomendations
ADVERTS 1
I am looking to buy a router with VPN capabilities that has enough throughput to pass HD when doing site to site tunnel.
Is there anyone running this setup?

Take a look at the Cisco 800 series. I've put in a number the 877's and they are great. In our office we have an intellinet dual wan VPN router,
INTELLINET NETWORK SOLUTIONS : Dual WAN VPN Router
if you have access to two different ISP providers (T1/ADSL) this has worked great for us for load balancing.

I use a
Draytek 2930 Dual Wan Router
for home use. It allows me to load balance and VPN with no problems. However, most people don't need/use a dual WAN system, so there are cheaper options the OP may want to explore.

You are going to have to find a router where you can flash DD-WRT to replace the installed operating system. Then you can run a PPTP VPN to accomplish what you want. Not a trivial process if you are uncomfortable working with a router. Also possible that you will brick your router if you make a mistake.
