Verizon Online Expands Broadband Availability in Fayette County

    ADVERTS 1
FARMINGTON, Pa. -- More consumers and businesses in the Farmington area can enjoy the benefits of high-speed Internet access now that Verizon Online has expanded its availability in Fayette County. Verizon Online DSL is now available to 899 additional subscribers in the area.

"If you've wanted DSL service for your home or business from us in the past, but it wasn't available in your neighborhood, now's a great time to check with us on current availability," said James O'Rourke, president of Verizon Pennsylvania. "We're making DSL available to more communities, and our rates are more attractive than ever."

Verizon Online service features a variety of prices and speeds, including a consumer DSL service that's priced lower than many dial-up plans. For $14.95 per month, subscribers who sign up for a year can access the Web at connection speeds up to 768 kilobits per second (Kbps) downstream and 128 Kbps upstream.

Verizon Online DSL customers can also get blazing fast Internet connections at a maximum speed of 3.0 Mbps (megabits per second) downstream and 768 Kbps upstream for $19.95 per month for the first three months and $29.95 per month thereafter. In addition, Verizon has a number of DSL plans for business customers.

Verizon Online DSL customers also have a choice of Web portals featuring a wide array of content, such as online security, entertainment and multiple mail accounts at no additional charge. To order Verizon Online DSL, or to check whether it's available at a specific home or business, customers should check online at

Angry VERIZON EXPANDING DSL IN FARMINGTON

FARMINGTON??? REALLY!!!!! COME ON VERIZON! Farmington is in the middle of FREAKIN' NOWHERE! I have been lobbying for some DSL access at least if not FIOS since God Knows when! I live less than 1 mile from a major highway and less than 100 yards from a neighbor who has DSL, but YOU people keep telling me that I CANNOT get DSL because the ports are all filled. SO EXPAND THE PORTS FOR GODS SAKE!!! I PAY YOU PRETTY WELL FOR HOME PHONE SERVICE THAT IS SHODDY AT BEST BECAUSE YOU REFUSE TO INVEST IN NEW COPPER LINES!

Get with one of your neighbors and transmit a wireless signal with a pair of radios to get DSL if you cannot get it. I thought Verizon was doing away with copper lines since they sold to Frontier as DSL runs off of copper.
